On the occasion of Pitti Uomo, in Florence, on Tuesday 12 June, at the Manifattura Tabacchi, the creations of twenty-one fashion designers attending Polimoda , the first fashion school in Italy and among the best in the world, were shown in front of a jury of big names in fashion. Under the creative direction of Polimoda director Danilo Venturi , the “ Separate Collection” fashion show was inspired by the evolution of the concept of sustainable fashion and therefore by everything that recalls, precisely, the 'separate collection' with the choice of recovered and regenerated materials, which evoke concepts of environmental and social impact of fashion, inviting young designers to express their own identity.
“The show concludes a year of collaboration with Sara Kozlowski , CFDA Director of Education and Professional Development, who has been a special mentor to the Fashion Design students in developing their own creative and professional identity.” After four years of training at Polimoda, twenty-one designers were selected from all the Fashion Design graduates to present their collection of eight outfits.
The designers chosen for this occasion were: Gauhar Afroze Ali (United States/Pakistan), Andrea Antonelli (Italy), Silvia Barcucci (Italy), Erica Bergamaschi (Italy), Sofia Campomaggi (Italy), Augusta Del Biondo (Italy), Andrea Delorenzi (Italy), Anna Dorian (Italy), Sakina Fuse (Japan), Camilla Giani (Italy), Antonio Grassi (Italy), Giunia Guerrera (Italy), Song Ha Jung (South Korea), Federica Meyer zu Schwabedissen (Italy), Alessandra Montani (Italy), Ravenna Osgood (United States), Solveig Anna Palsdottir (Iceland), Veronica Spampinato (Italy), Izadora Verlic (Slovenia), Yan Wen (China) and Sang Ha Yun (South Korea).
